      Where We Live NYC Summit

      We’ve been working with residents and community leaders to better understand how fair housing issues like segregation and discrimination impact New Yorkers. Join us this Saturday, June 22, at the Museum of the City of New York for the Where We Live NYC Summit to hear what we've learned and share input on where we're going! What can you expect? 11am-1pm: Fair Housing Discussion  Join NYC Deputy Mayor Vicki Been, Maya Wiley of MSNBC and the New School, Colvin Grannum from Bed-Stuy Restoration Corporation, and Nicholas Bloom of of NYIT and Hunter College for an energetic discussion on fair housing in NYC today. Plus, we have partnered with Urban Word to hear from some of the city’s top spoken word artists. 1pm-3pm: Where We Live NYC Exhibit & Activities  Check out our interactive Where We Live NYC exhibit, share your feedback, and discuss your fair housing experiences at the Arts East NY Story Booth. Plus, there will be free food, housing resources, and performances! All attendees can also visit the museum for free. Don't forget to RSVP! - Where We Live NYC is a collaborative planning process led by the City of New York to better understand how challenges like segregation and discrimination impact New Yorker’s everyday lives.
